Abacus Tutors and Abacus Tutors of Wokingham has been providing a quality service since 1982 when Jonathan Cledwyn-Davies provided tuition in Physics, Pure Mathematics & Applied Mathematics ( Mechanics ) to GCE Advanced level and Chemistry or General Science to GCE Ordinary level.

By engaging tutors, Abacus Tutors increased the number of subjects available.   Having originated in Middlesex, Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire, Jonathan & Susan Cledwyn-Davies moved to Wokingham to establish Abacus Tutors of Wokingham.

Jonathan obtained his B.Sc. ( Special Honours ) in Physics from King’s College, University of London and his P.G.C.E. and M.A. in Science Education from the University of London Institute of Education. Jonathan’s Dissertation was titled, “Is there a technology of Artificial Intelligence and if so, how might it affect the teaching of Science ?

Jonathan enjoys Physics and Mathematics and is a Member of the Institute of Physics, a Chartered Physicist and holds an Advanced Certificate in Educational Management from the University of Leicester.
